At the beginning of her activity in 1996 with the support of GTZ, Shpresa opened a small processing line, the equipments of which were imported from Italy. Later on, the increase of the oil processing amount by "Shkalla" Company brought about new investments in the business environment.It is important to point out that at the beginning of September 2005, "Shkalla" Company installed a new olive oil processing line " MOD PANORAMA 3 TG" with capacity 900-1.400 kg/hour of olives and with a value of 175.000.00 Euro produced by Pieralisi company, a well known Italian company in Europe for the production of such lines.
The company participates in the Association of Oil Producers, and has a strong support of powerful donors like SBCA-USAID.
But what makes the oil produced by this company sellable and what are its advantages for finding the market even out of Albania? The olive oil the company produces is extra virgin oil of a very high quality, with nutrition values and a low level of acidity (about 0.2%).The raw material used is the bio olive of Farka, Lundra (surrounding villages). But above all, is the valuation this oil received in the previous year, The International Prize: Biol 2005 in a competition from around the world with the motivation: "The best organic extra virgin olive oil" . |
